Pennsylvania Route 456

Pennsylvania Route 456 (PA 456) is a state highway located in Franklin County, Pennsylvania. The southern terminus is at the Maryland state line near Yeakle's Mill Bridge, where it continues as Hollow Road. The northern terminus is at PA 16 near Cove Gap. PA 456 was designated by 1940 onto its current alignment.
==Route description==
PA 456 begins at the Maryland border in Warren Township, heading north on Little Cove Road, a two-lane undivided road. The starting road continues into Maryland as Hollow Road.
From the state line, the route goes over Licking Creek using a bridge. This bridge is made out of steel and is either a stringer/multi-beam bridge or a girder bridge.〔(【引用サイトリンク】 title=Pennsylvania Route 456: Licking Creek )〕 It is 10.7 feet (3.3 m) long and is maintained by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT). After crossing the bridge, PA 456 turns northeast into a mix of farmland and forests in a narrow valley. PA 456 continues northeast, passing through many farms and some small communities. About 7.5 miles (12,070 m) from its south end, PA 456 crosses a second bridge that goes over Little Cove Creek. This bridge is made out of prestressed concrete and is either a Box beam or a Girder bridge. It is 125 feet (38.1 m) long and is also maintained by PennDOT.〔 About 9.5 miles from its south end, PA 456 goes right by Saunderosa Park. PA 456 crosses into Peters Township and reaches its northern terminus at an intersection with PA 16.
PA 456's northern terminus at PA 16 is two miles from Buchanan's Birthplace State Park, which marks the birthplace of the 15th president of the United States of America, James Buchanan.
